It was so exciting to announce the Longlists for the 2021 Pitch It! Competition last week! Today, we are absolutely BUZZING, because we are about to reveal the fantastic Pitch It! Shortlists! These talented writers will all receive feedback on their pitches from our hard-working judges.

The judges have noted the phenomenally high standard in pitch entries this year, in particular the originality of the concept, emotion and voice used in the pitch to reflect the manuscript, as well as the importance of an easy-to-read flow throughout the piece, an enticing hook upfront and a clear point of difference. The following pitches reflected writing like storytelling – gripping, emotive, and concise with each word carefully put into place.

Huge thanks once again to Katrina McKelvey, Debra Tidball, Stef Gemmill, Kate Gordon and Pamela Ueckerman xx

So, without further ado, here are the SHORTLISTS for the TOP pitches. Congratulations to all!
