OMG! Can you feel the anticipation?! Last week we announced the longlists for the 2019 Pitch It! Competition, and well, that was exciting enough! Let’s get to the next level today with the fabulous shortlists! These talented writers will all receive feedback on their pitches from our hard-working judges – please expect emails within the next couple of weeks!
The judges have all noted how high the calibre of entries has been this year. Their points referred to the engaging language and voice used in the pitch to reflect the manuscript, as well as the importance of a clear flow throughout the piece and an enticing hook upfront. Judges specified how vital a proofreader’s or second person’s eye is to ensuring an error-free and grammatically-sound quality presentation. The following pitches reflected writing like storytelling – gripping, evoking an emotion, and concise with each word carefully put into place.
Huge thanks once again to Debra Tidball, Kellie Byrnes, Julie Grasso, Pamela Ueckerman, Kate Gordon and Nadia L King xx
So, without further ado, here are the SHORTLISTS for the TOP pitches. Congratulations to all!
