We are super excited about this tour! Why? Because our very own Kellie Byrnes has just welcomed her debut picture book into the world, and we want to show it off! So please join us as we soar into the virtual skies and become absolutely mesmerised with the wonder and beauty that is Cloud Conductor! Let’s begin with some introductions…
Kellie Byrnes is a children’s author and full-time freelance writer.
Kellie has a BA degree in Literature from Macquarie University and over 5 years of experience copywriting. In addition, she has spent time in marketing, PR, sales, e-commerce and publishing roles during her career.
Kellie previously worked as a publishing assistant for Pan Macmillan, and then as a sales rep for Pan and later Hardie Grant Gift (Taltrade Books at the time). During these years, apart from getting to read a huge number of books (yay!), she also developed an understanding of the publishing industry and what it takes to make it as an author and writer – experience which is standing her in good stead for her current career direction.
When she’s not busy writing, reading or coming up with new ideas, Kellie can be found walking her two dogs, checking out movies, plays and musicals, or travelling as far and wide as she can for inspiration.
